PARKLAND, Wash. - Police are asking for the public's help in identifying a bumbling burglar whose bad luck was on comical display on surveillance video when he tried - and failed - to make a haul from Parkland's Hard Luck Bar & Grill.

"This is one of the worst guys we have seen in a while," the Pierce County Sheriff's Office said in a Facebook post.

The incident unfolded at about 6 a.m. June 22 at the bar, located in the 10700 block of Park Ave. S. in Parkland.

Here is the description of the crime, as told in the Sheriff's Office Facebook post:

"The suspect tried to smash in window by throwing a rock (FAIL), then by kicking the window (FAIL), and punching the window (FAIL), and body slamming the window (FAIL), and finally kicking it a few more times until it finally broke.

"The suspect then climbed through he broken window (FAIL), tried to steal pull tabs from behind the bar (FAIL), tried to pry open the cash register (FAIL), thought about stealing something from the storage room (FAIL), then finally climbed out a roof vent and off the roof, then ran away (we actually expected to see him fall off the roof).

"While this might not be his best burglary, it also might not be his only (one). So if you know who this bumbling burglar please send us a private message - thanks!"
