CINCINNATI (WKRC) – If the kids are anxious waiting for Santa to arrive, this tool will allow you give them an exact status update.

The North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) had launched its website that lets visitors track Saint Nick around the world for its 65th year, even amid the pandemic.

The tradition began in 1955, when the Continental Air Defense Command Operations Center started receiving calls from children asking about Santa's whereabouts due to a newspaper mistake that listed the wrong number for the North Pole.

NORAD has turned that mishap around and created a website that allows trackers to keep tabs on Santa and his reindeer.

Up until the holiday, kids can keep busy on the website with a holiday countdown, music, games and more.

Then, on Christmas Eves, the Santa cams will start streaming. Kids and parents can track the most exciting guest of the season via phone, the website or even a mobile app.
